About Us

The Pothole People was started in 1991 out of frustration. Company founder Graeme Craig needed some potholes fixed and couldn't find anyone to do the job – so he got some hot mix and a compactor and did the job himself, and The Pothole People was born! Soon after the whole Craig family were involved, wife Merle, sons Darren and Gary, daughter Deborah.

In the years that followed they have built up a versatile team from a variety of trade backgrounds. This has become one of The Pothole People's strengths, giving us the expertise to handle a wide range of different jobs.

We are also proud of the fact that many of our staff have been with us for 10 years or more. Graeme Craig is now semi-retired, having handed over to son Darren Craig, who is Operations Manager and estimator, and daughter Deborah Craig.
